Yeah, he was scheduled for arbitration tomorrow and would have been in the lineup regardless - but an extra year is nice and it's usually better to keep these negotiations away from an arbitrator. Considering Gonchar received 5.5 million for one year, Chara's 4.6/4.9 million dollar two year deal seems okay.
